We have placed memorials in every state in the U.S. and several different countries. Our gallery and studio is in Memphis, TN (Obviously I’ll change this to Cincinnati, OH) Ship out of Elverton, GA and Cincinnati, OH
We are better at designing unique monuments than your local company and you will find we will surpass them in customer service as well.
I, also, try to buy locally but only if it is my best choice. Many local companies carry ordinary stock gravestones and grave markers but most don’t do much creative or custom cemetery art. Custom stone work is the focal point of our business so we have an experienced design team, graphic artists, the best sculptors and state of the art equipment.
We deal with a variety of importers and hand design stone work/custom at our shops.
We make our memorials and headstones one at a time so we can make any design in different sizes, different granite colors or with any changes you would like. Design decisions will affect price, so it is difficult to list prices online. We have granite monuments to fit any cost range. Please email or call us and we will be glad to provide pricing estimates so we can get you started in a direction to find the most beautiful memorial design that best fits your needs.
Determined by sizes, polishings, colors, every cemetary has their own rules and regulations that we have to abide by and we have to stay in those guidelines. So all of this changes the possible price.
No. The local tombstone company is not making the memorial in your city and, generally, only letters memorials at their location. Granite headstones are being manufactured elsewhere and are shipped to the local company. Shipping has been factored into their pricing. Since we are in Memphis the “distribution center of the world” and home of FedEx, we get amazing shipping rates. Most of the time you will pay less in shipping from us than you do from the local company.
Imported granite on the east coast come into Savannah GA. Georgia Gray’s quarry comes 3 miles from shop. Elberton, GA so you’ll always paying shipping cost. We charge the exact shipping cost.
Traditional shape granite monuments will normally ship in 6-8 weeks. Unique, hand carved, custom memorials can take 4-6 months. We are constantly striving for the shortest time possible.
Monuments coming from China and India are 130 days to the shop. 30 days to production. Standard monument/marker are 4-6 weeks after layouts are approved and paid for. 5-7 days of order is proof sent. Then approval has to be sent and paid for. 4-6 weeks after that is when shipping is estimated.
No. If they tell you this they are breaking the law. You may purchase your grave memorial or grave marker from the company of your choice.
No. They cannot do this. Though they may have certain requirements that we have to abide by sizes, foundation fees, installation fees, etc.
We will take care of everything. We will make sure the cemetery allows what we are making for you and find an installer to place the memorial. We do this at no charge as a courtesy for our clients and allow you to pay the installer directly. Be wary of a company that gives you the task of finding an installer, this is not your job.
We’ll make sure the cemetary allows and we will find an installer for you. We can add installation fee or you can pay them directly. We try to have lal of that taken care of before going into contract. We call funeral home, cemetary, etc.
We are responsible for the stone until it is delivered. On the rare occasion that a stone is broken, we will handle all paperwork with the trucking company. We will either repair or replace the stone.
After it’s off the truck, the installer would be responsible. We will handle any paperwork if the trucking company damages it.
No, No, No. All companies you see online are not the same. We are memorialists.
Decades of work, study, experience and desire results in the company you find in West Memorials. We are memorialists that use the internet to offer our talents and artistry to anyone, anywhere that needs our expertise. We are not a company that “was trying to think of something that they could sell online”, or a company that “was trying to make some extra money” as I’ve been told by other companies selling online. We are a memorial company that uses the internet to show you that you don’t have to settle for ordinary memorial art or for being overcharged.
We’ve been in business 103 years. Lots of experience. Over 100,000 lifetime orders. Prices are normally less than what you’ll find locally at monument companies.
This is great news! The designs you are seeing are what other people wanted and not necessarily want you want. With our website we are trying to show you that you do not have to settle for common gravestones. Everyone deserves something unique to them and the designs shown on our site are there to inspire and culminate ideas. If you see the exact memorial you want on our site then that is awesome but we also encourage questions. This is an important decision and we are the people that can help you the best.
Take a picture or draw up what you’re looking for and we’ll set our designers on creating a monument that’s perfect you.
